If ever you feel alone, or lost, or unworthy in one way or another – do not despair, there is hope! The world (or even your own thinking) might tell you otherwise, but take heart. There is victory in Jesus, the Good Shepherd, who laid down His life for us.
Following Him does not mean that we will never experience suffering, discomfort, loneliness, or hardship. Jesus Himself tells us that in this world we will have trouble. But He also reminds us that we can have peace in Him because He has overcome the world. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33 Whatever you may be facing, you are not alone. You Are Loved. Good Shepherd Lord, I'm writing You this poem, To keep my eyes on You. Be my Light. Guide my life. Amid this dark valley, I pass through. With every trial, And every test, In Your mercy, I find rest. Because Your justice Be it true, Knows my heart, And I confess. I'm like a sheep Run far from home, Hungry and worn, Beaten by the storm, Thinking she could make it, On her own. And, still, You search to find me. By my side, Day and night, Lord, my Shepherd, Lord, my might. No evil shall I fear, for You are with me. |
