In 2009, I embarked on a photographic journey throughout my hometown, capturing portraits of the farmers in my community. What began as an assignment, ended as far more than a grade on a transcript.  In the years that have passed, four of the incredible men I photographed for my final series have since passed away.  My hope is that their legacy of hard-work, self-reliance, and perseverance lives on in this series.
